THE ISLAND MARKETPLACE
---mile marker 101 bay
side---is one of the first Keys to Peace permanent public placements. With our booth there, we have the opportunity to become a real hub
for peace and community outreach. Already we are the location for the food drop-off spot Burton Memorial Food bank, and we're
making arrangements to work with local women's shelters in the area to provide assistance. The opportunities are endless
--- we're just getting started... Go
in the main door and turn left; you will see our booth before you reach the wall—lots of books, two tables filled with
goodies and a wonderful peace bell right up front. Come and check out books or give us a donation for any book you see that
you can't live without. Grab great information off our free table anytime. Stuff stockings for Christmas with Rubik's
cubes, cups, little necklaces, and tons of other neat things peace items.
The Market's hours are Friday through Sunday, 9 AM - 5 PM, and volunteers are needed for 2 or 3 hour shifts. Contact
Marlene (marlenedetienne@gmail.com) or Nancy (nan_sea_joe@yahoo.com) if you want to help out!
